At my pick up at the Ft. Lauderdale airport, they did not have my premium SUV available and told me they were upgrading me to a mini van for $20 a day. No one upgrades to a mini van and has to pay for it. Why did I have to get charged $20 a day for a be chile I did not reserve. I should have been compensated for having to take a mini van. I will not rent from budget again. I did not like the experience.

Originally were assigned a Chrysler Pacifica, which we liked a lot, but there was an issue with the license plate so we were sent back to the desk and reassigned a Kia minivan, which felt like a downgrade. Also, the person ahead of us in line needed to be reassigned a vehicle because the inside of hers was covered in cigarette ashes. The desk staff was super friendly and helpful, but seems like the vehicle maintenance team has some kinks to work out.

They had QR codes in the airport and sent an email beforehand to have you pre-register with your name date of birth and drivers license number. I did this while I was waiting in line for almost 30 minutes at budget as there was no advantage of doing this before hand because you had to wait in the same line, however, it registered me for my Rental at the time that I put in this information which added an hour onto the rental, and they charged me for it. Then, when I returned the car, they did not go out and inspect, just asked me if I filled up the car. And then received a charge for fuel service, even though the receipt showed that I returned the car full. It felt like they were looking for every opportunity to add erroneous charges onto the price line price in hopes that people would not catch it.

The sales person renting the car was knowledgeable regarding insurance, need for toll transponder, and condition of the car (a few minor scrapes). By suggesting that my credit card may already cover collision damage (he was correct) and explaining the need for a transponder where I was headed (he was correct again) he saved my a great deal of money. His performance also underscored the reputation of Economy Rent a Car as the best place to “Rent a Car”. Nothing could have been better on both pick-up and return. Dave Weatherbee

I entered in my information for a different drop off point and when I submitted my order, it just reverted back to where I was initially picking up the car because you dont have a drop off in maimi . At that point there was no way that I could get my money back so this was a complete waste of $165. We had to rent another car for $600 because of this bullshit

After making a reservation as well as confirming the reservation with a phone call and speaking to an agent on the phon, my rental car was not there. Upon arrival I was told my rental car was not available and they were not able to provide a rental car for me. It was a horrible experience and I wouldn’t recommend the company to anyone and I won’t use them again.

So, our flight was delayed and apparently they will only hold your rental car for one hour! There were 3 people ahead of us that all were charged and they couldn’t provide any of a car for this same reason. They said all of their other cars were already reserved. We had been traveling all day, had lugged our luggage around and found out we didn’t have a rental car but still were charged! It was so infuriating!

The attendant upon pick up was the most rude rental car person I have ever dealt with. The car has mechanical issues including gas over filling. There were so many dents and scratches I made my own videos. The attendant upon check out was VERY professional. I will still never use them again.

The car was fine. The staff were friendly. We waited for 65 minutes for the complimentary shuttle to come and get us at the cruise shuttle. When we got to Avis it took quite a long time to get our vehicle.

Will never rent a car through Kayak/Hertz again. Had to cancel the reservation due to a death in my family. Had to call repeatedly to get a refund. Only after plenty of frustration and time on the phone was able to receive a partial refund. Not a good experience.
